Legal expertise is not required, except when disseminating information to workers through e-mail. Training will be provided for each required area

The Hotline
Provide information daily over the phone between the hours of 17:00 and 19:00, in Hebrew, Arabic, and English for inquiries made by Israeli and migrant workers

The Hotline for Israeli workers
Provide information regarding labor laws over the phone in response to inquiries by Israeli workers every Friday between 10:00 and 14:00 in Hebrew, Arabic, and English

Information through e-mail
Answer inquires about employment through the web site in Hebrew and Arabic. Requires legal knowledge

In-person inquires
Provide information to workers and handle complaints against employers

A.Migrant Workers
Answer inquiries Sundays and Thursdays between 09:00 and 17:00 and Tuesdays between 09:00 and 13:00 in English, Russian, Rumanian, and Nepalese

B. Asylum seekers and refugees
Answer inquiries Tuesdays between 16:00 and 19:00. Arabic speakers are mostly needed

C. Israelis
Answer inquires on Wednesdays between 14:00 and 18:00

D. Agriculture workers
Handle inquiries by Thai migrant farm workers in Hebrew and Thai

E. Social security
Help workers to fully realize their Social Security rights in cases of pregnancy and work accidents

Field work, information distribution and direct enforcement
A. Accompany workers to their working place and require the management at the site to pay wages and/or other social benefits that the workers are entitled to

B. Accompany workers to the Home Office, police, courts, work, etc

C. Accompany workers to work sites where they used to work to get more details

D. Distribute leaflets and organize lectures for workers

E. Go on excursions in the West Bank and write field reports

F. Gather data about industrial plants and companies which forfeit workers’ rights, including information about their clients and partners in Israel and abroad

Editing
Edit information leaflets, web site news, reports and inquiries in Hebrew, Arabic and English

Translation and interpretation
Interpret during in-person inquiries, court sessions and meetings with lawyers, and translate written material. Relevant languages are English, Arabic, French, Rumanian, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Tigrinia, Nepalese and other languages

The website and public relations
Search for articles in Hebrew, Arabic and English; address the media, update and design the web site, etc

Facebook
Help updating Kav LaOved Facebook profile

Video shooting and editing
Video shoot and/or edit short films on topics concerning Kav LaOved. The films are published on the website, through the mailing list and in conferences and lectures held by the organization

Preparing reports
Help with data processing and preparation for reports

Fund raising
The role includes helping in finding new foundations through the web, performing research on foundations through the web, editing and improving documents and letters in English, writing letters, documents and proposals. Experience in fund raising for charities is welcome

Help in legal research
Relevant for law students
